safe

to the one who’s dreams are falling all apart
and all you’re left with is a tired and broken heart
i can tell by your eyes you think your on your own
but you’re not all alone

have you heard of the One who can calm the raging seas
give sight to the blind, pull the lame up to their feet
with a love so strong he’ll never let you go
oh you’re not alone

you will be safe in His arms
you will be safe in His arms
‘cause the hands that hold the world are holding your heart
this is the promise He made
He will be with You always
when everything is falling apart
you will be safe in His arms

did you know that the voice that brings the dead to life
is the very same voice that calls you to rise
so hear Him now He’s calling you home
you will never be alone
you will be safe in His arms
you will be safe in His arms
‘cause the hands that hold the world are holding your heart
this is the promise He made
He will be with You always
when everything is falling apart
you will be safe in His arms

these are the hands that built the mountains
the hands that calm the seas
these are the arms that hold the heavens
they are holding you and me

these are hands that healed the leper
pulled the lame up to their feet
these are the arms that were nailed to a cross
to break our chains and set us free

restoration

My view for the next 36 hours. Praying for restoration before this next season in our lives…which we are so excited about!

fighting for motivation

i'm struggling. it's hard finding motivation to study for an exam when you feel defeated. so far i've spent $5,000 on this exam (although some of it has been reimbursed) and i'm only half way to being able to put those three dang letters after my name. sometimes most of the time i wonder if i even want them. a lot of the time i feel like it was just the next step or it was expected of me...probably because it was for my job. anyway, today marks day one of re-studying for the audit portion of the exam. and between work and distractions (ahem, pinterest and this blog) i got about three solid, good hours of studying in. i'd say that was a successful day.

excited to go home, run (which probably won't happen), cook dinner and have a coffee date with my super hott husband.

note to self: this exam does not define you.

Don’t want to be here tonight. Thankful my identity is not found in the CPA exam, but rather Christ Jesus. I continuously find myself struggling to remember that and with an overwhelming feeling of defeat.

welp, i think this answers the question as to whether or not i’ll be one of the lucky 10% who pass all four parts of the exam on the first try…

…obviously I’m not that lucky.
