15 hours later, our office is FINALLY clean. for the first time since we moved in. seven months ago. we still have a LONG way to go as far as decor goes and making it aesthetically appealing. but it’s a HUGE accomplishment that we can now see the floor! I’m not even kidding. unfortunately I did not get a before picture. i don’t think you can appreciate all the hard work without a before shot, but basically we took EVERYTHING out of the room and moved it back in piece by piece until it was all put away or thrown away!
we also made some awesome mason jar soap pumps. we bought the vintage jars at first monday trade days in weatherford at the beginning of the month and we finally had time to make them. yay!
in january i cut the wood to make rustic wood frames, and today i finally put the frames together and stained them. tomorrow i’m going to dry brush them with a whitish grey color. i can’t wait to put them on our walls in the bedroom!
coming soon: more info on the mason jars and frames! hopefully i’ll be able to craft and blog a lot more now that tax season is over!
for now: i’m going to bed! goodnight friends.

diy spring wreath
this weekend i made a monogrammed spring wreath for our front door. it was a super easy project, just uber time consuming. and i burned my fingers. a lot.
i cut out an "R" for Rhoden from 3 pieces of foam core board, glued them together and painted it green to mask any areas i might miss with the moss. I didn't really worry about the shape being cut perfectly because the next step will hide any imperfections.
next i used a hot glue gun to glue tons and tons and tons of moss onto the front and sides of the foam letter. then i tied a ribbon around the top of the loop on the "R" in a simple bow and hung it up on our front door. easy peasy.
